This assembly replaces the earpiece top speaker, top microphone and sensors on the iPhone 11 Pro in a single flex cable. It is used when call audio is poor, the top microphone is faulty or the sensors that handle proximity detection and Face ID have stopped working.
The iPhone 11 Pro must be opened to reach it, and the flex is delicate. Face ID relies on several parts at the top of the phone, so this assembly alone may not clear every Face ID fault.
