When a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 no longer responds to a Qi pad or fails to read a contactless terminal, the wireless charging NFC antenna is one of the internal parts to look at. This is the replacement for the Note 8.

Access is from the back of the handset, which needs heat and gentle prying to release. Have a proper opening tool ready, and try another pad first to confirm the fault sits inside the phone. The Note 8 is an older handset, so its back glass may be well bonded; work slowly to avoid cracking it.
