This is a replacement SIM card reader for the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. It is used when the phone no longer detects a SIM card, shows no service or loses its network connection because the internal reader is damaged or worn.
The reader is the internal socket that the tray slides into, so the Galaxy S8 Plus must be opened to reach it. Try the SIM in another phone first, and test the new reader before the Galaxy S8 Plus is sealed again.
Before ordering, check that the Galaxy S8 Plus tray slides in and out freely and that the card is undamaged. Clear any debris from the slot, since a dirty slot can mimic a failed reader.
